The beginning of your friendship
We had been sharing a close bond since 10-12 years or maybe more. Our closeness got deeper with the photo shoot of Razzak sir and Kabori madam.

How close were you?
We got so close that I became like his family. Moreover, he used to call me 'Baba'. He fulfilled a lot of my wishes as well. Every time I went to his house, Razzak sir, his mother, Bappa, Samrat, all of us used to chat together. All of them were sincerely cordial to me.

About his magnanimity
I got to see his generosity for the first time personally in that year when I expressed my wish of doing a photo shoot of him. He said, "No problem, Baba. I will give you my time."
I remember I did the shoot in my showroom at Bashundhara and he along with Bappa came by himself to my showroom in the market for the shoot in that time. Then, at the time of Deshi Dosh's inauguration, he had a great involvement.

About the tribute to him from you
The prominent designer and proprietor of Bishwo Rang, also an acquaintance of late Nayakraj Abdur Razzak tells us about the mark the legendary actor has left in his life.

5-6 years ago, I did a reality show called Rong RTV 20-20 Colours Model Search. It was a model hunt programme with RTV. There, I dedicated an episode to him. On that episode, the models performed on his 11 songs. This tribute was a dream of mine to pay respect to him. He was supposed to attend and watch the performances. However, unfortunately, he couldn't make it due to health troubles.
After it was done, I showed him the video recordings of the models/students performing on his songs later on.

Memorable moment with him
His wife, Lakhi was a very important part of his life. Razzak sir named their house after her, 'Lakhikunjo'. So, I was lucky to be a part of their 50th wedding anniversary.

His response to 'Otijhe Bangla Cinema'
I made the first sample for 'Otijhe Bangla Cinema' (a fashion show showcasing the legacy of Bangla cinema through an entire collection of designs) in his house. That was an unforgettable night for me. Seeing my designs, he had tears in his eyes. He asked me, "How is this possible? How did you pull off such an incredible thing?" He praised me, "What we, people of the cinemas, couldn't do, you made it happen. So, if you do a fashion show with these, I sincerely want to go there and talk my heart out."

Inauguration of the new logo 'Bishwo Rang' by his hands
When I changed the logo of Rang to Bishwo Rang in Jamuna Future Park, I requested him again to inaugurate my new logo. He was sick at that time. So, I made preparations for a wheelchair as the mall is huge. However, he said no. He wanted to walk. Then, he laid his one hand on my shoulder and we walked together.
The most memorable moment of that event was that I insisted him to walk on the ramp. He started laughing and said that it was the only thing that he had never done in his long career life. That day, he walked on the ramp for the very first time in his life along with former Foreign Minister Dipu Moni madam. For me, it made history as Nayakraj Razzak walked on the ramp for the first time only for Bishwo Rang.

The last time you met him
The last time we met was in Cholochitro Dibosh, probably in the 1st of April of this year. I took all of my models dressing them up with the clothes I made having the Bangla cinema theme. There, he was sitting wearing a yellow panjabi. He has chewing betel leaf. After meeting him, he introduced me to others who were there and showed everyone my works that the models along with me were wearing. We hung out altogether. He took photos with everyone. We had a great fun that day. After that, we did talk over phone but never met again.

Lessons to learn from him
He was a living legend. I have no idea how such an extraordinary person like him managed to lead a life ordinarily. He was very gentle, generous and simple even though he was a superstar. Furthermore, he maintained a joint family so beautifully. That is very rare.
In terms of his acting prowess, I don't think I am even eligible to comment on such a staggering actor. His acting was mesmerizing.
Another thing, he perfectly correlated his personal, family and work life. I have even seen him take his grandchild to talk shows. Many of us don't want to bring our families into media attention whereas he used to bring his full family in shows. Therefore, I believe there are many things people can learn from the every single breath he took.
