3 killed in Ctg road crash

Chittagong: Three people were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Port Connecting Road area in the city on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Mosharraf Hossain Musa, 50, Wazed Ali Babul, 45, and auto-rickshaw driver Jasim Sikdar, 38, while the injured were Mohammad Saidul, 26, and Mohammad Sujon, 29.

Moinul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bandar Police Station, confirmed the matter.

A Chittagong Port-bound container-laden lorry hit a three-wheeler as its driver lost control over the steering in Nimtala area near Port Connecting Road around 10am, leaving one auto-rickshaw driver spot dead, the OC added and 4 others injured.

The wounded were admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) where two others died.
