Gold prices rise again ahead of Eid

Gold prices in the local market is going to rise again for second time within two weeks.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BJS) has decided to increase the prices by Tk 1,516 per bhori (11.664 grams) to match with the rising prices of gold in the international  market, said a press release on Saturday.

The new prices will come into effect from Sunday, the release said.
 
According to new price, each bhori (11.664) of 22-carat or good quality gold will now cost at Tk 48,638 while 21-carat Tk 46,421.

Earlier on 28 July, BJS increased gold prices by Tk 1,341 per bhori.
