PM thanks physicians for successful surgery on Muktamoni
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday thanked the physicians of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for a successful surgery conducted on Muktamoni who has been suffering from a Hemangioma, a noncancerous growth of blood vessels.
DMCH's Burn Unit Coordinator Samanta Lal Sen told media that they received a phone call from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in the afternoon.
A team of doctors, led by Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit professor Dr Abul Kalam, conducted the two-hours surgery from 8:50am to 10:45am to remove the 3kg tumor without amputating her right hand.
Meanwhile, the 12-year-old girl regained her consciousness.
