International seminar on connectivity infrastructure held in Dhaka
An international seminar on possibilities of connectivity in Bangladesh was held in Dhaka on Saturday last.
Bangladeshi technology company Provident Technologies and Chinese networking product company Shanghai Baud Data Communication (BDCOM) organized the seminar at International Convention City in Bashundhara area in the capital.
Some 14, 00 top technology executives from different agencies attended the seminar where a nine-member delegation from China was also present.
Sanghai BDCOM President Chen Qun, Provident Technologies Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Zubair and Great Technologies Chief Executive Officer MA Hamid spoke, among others, on the inaugural session of the seminar.
In a statement, the organizers informed that Shanghai BDCOM has been following China's "One Belt One Road" initiative, travelling all around the world introducing cost-effective and mind-blowing ICT solutions which can make considerable contribution to network infrastructure construction.
Organizers informed that the agencies will roll out the Chinese networking devices for development of the connectivity infrastructure in Bangladesh which will pave the way to achieve the Digital Bangladesh goal.
Provident Technologies Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Zubair said the company has been working to establish an ecosystem of connectivity introducing Fibber to the Home (FTTH) through networking devices. We focus on the networking role in the technological advancement of the country."
Sanghai BDCOM President Chen Qun said, "Bangladesh is a good brother of China always in development infrastructure. We are very pleased to work together with the local agencies here to contribute in developing connectivity among mass."
