DSCC cancels weekly holidays for mosquito control

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) cancelled weekly holidays to control aedes mosquito that transmit Chikungunya virus.

DSCC public relations officer Uttom Kumar confirmed the matter.

He said the DSCC officials and employees will have to attend the office on next Friday and Saturday. The instruction will be effective till further notice.

Dhaka South Mayor Sayeed Khokon announced to control the viral disease within two to three weeks as the disease is spreading fast in the capital.

Meanwhile, mosquito control and cleanliness programmes have been strengthened.
