Businessman shot at Moghbazar

A businessman was shot by a gang of miscreants in city's Moghbazar area on Monday morning.

Victim Anwar Hossain, 55, president of Bangladesh Medical Device Association, is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

DMCH police outpost SI Bachhu Miah said, armed miscreants fired gunshots when Anwar was driving his car on Dilu Road around 9:30am, leaving him injured.

He is now out of danger, the SI said.

Deputy commissioner Maruf Hossain (Ramna Division) said, "It is not an incident of mugging. We're investigating the incident."
