Painting exhibition at Ctg Shilpakala Academy

A three-day long solo painting art exhibition titled "Art work show" by Mansoor Cazee concluded on July 15 at Chittagong Shilpakala Academy's Zainul Abedin Art Gallery.
The exhibition featured by 30 artworks where the artist, Mansoor Cazee tried to express his concepts and feelings through dots, lines, colour, light and shadow. This was his second solo exhibition. The exhibition started on July 13. Dr Sultan Ahmed, professor of Chittagong University (CU) inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.
The exhibition was also addressed by Professor Sharier Talukder while Visiting Professor from Punjab University and eminent artist Ahmed Newaz was present as special guests in the opening ceremony.
In his speech Professor Sultan Ahmed said, "An artist can easily express his feelings, ideas, thoughts, persons and surroundings through his art work. He expressed deep appreciation of the exhibition and expressed the hope that it would encourage young artists to engage themselves in such creative art.
Artist Mansoor Cazee said that he was delighted that many artists and art lovers came to enjoy his exhibition. "Abstraction is revealed through my paintings. The colours used in the paintings of Piet Mondrian, Wasily Kandinsky, John Miro, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso have inspired my paintings," he added. He said among the basic colours, black and white has taken precedence in his paintings and he has tried to express his feelings through these colours.
