Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque on Sunday said there is no specific threat of militant attack in the country right now.

"Militant activities are now certainly under control," said the IGP while talking to reporters after the inauguration of the second divisional Kabadi League, 2017 at Kabadi Stadium.

The police chief said when the militant groups try to carry out their activities, the law enforcers try to find them out unitedly.

"As part of joint efforts of law enforcers, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a drive at Ashulia today," said the IGP.

Four suspected militants surrendered to RAB members during an anti-militant raid on a hideout at Chakalgram-Chourapara in Ashulia.
