Khaleda reaches London, Tarique receives mother
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who left Dhaka for the UK on Saturday night, reached London Sunday afternoon.
Khaleda’s eldest son and BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman alongwith UK BNP leaders and workers, received the party chief at Heathrow Airport at 12:50pm (BDST).
Later, Tarique himself drove Khaleda away from the airport.
Shairul Kabir Khan, BNP chairperson's press wing member, said an emotional situation was created when Khaleda met her son.
Earlier, Khaleda left Shahjalal International Airport by an Emirates Airlines flight around 7:35pm on Saturday.
