Doctors are devoted to save the lives of people. Especially the doctors employed in government hospitals have to be always to meet the general peoples' needs. In medical colleges like Dhaka Medical College and Hospital or Bangabandhu Medical College & Hospital, everyday lots of people come to pay the doctors a visit. But it is a matter of regret that sometimes the doctors are not available even within their visiting hours. Thus, the common people have to suffer intolerably then. Yesterday, I went to DMCH for visiting the doctor with my younger sister who had been suffering from mumps and high fever. We waited for 3-4 hours at a stretch but there was no sign of the doctor's arrival. A lot of people were waiting outside the doctor's chamber and they were about to lose their patience. I hope these types of problems can be solved soon. If the doctors give a prior notice of their unavailability, ordinary people would not have to face these types of problems anymore.
