MP Bodi secures bail in graft case

A court in Chittagong has granted bail to Awami League lawmaker from Cox's Bazar-4 Abdur Rahman Bodi in a graft case filed by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) for amassing illegal wealth.
Md Ruhul Amin, judge of Chittagong Special Judge Court, granted the bail on Monday.
Earlier in the day, Bodi surrendered before the court with a bail petition.
Special public prosecutor of the court Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
ACC deputy director-2 Abul Kalam Azad filed a case with Double Mooring Police Station on September 17, 2007 against the lawmaker for amassing wealth worth Tk 75.37lakh illegally and concealing information in his wealth statement.
