Teachers should be equipped with modern knowledge : Prof Mannan

Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) Professor Abdul Mannan emphasized on expertise in modern knowledge and skills in the teachers who prepare public university admission test questions.
The UGC chairman came up with this comment at a national workshop on Preparation of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) for admission test of public universities was held at UGC auditorium on August 23.
Discussion about the type of question, technique, rules and formulation procedures of MCQ system used in public university admission test were informed to the participant of the program held at the UGC workshop after HSC results on August 18.
UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan graced the function as the chief guest. Professor Dr. Dil Afroza Begum, member, UGC presided over the function. Professor Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, member, UGC and Dr. Gauranga Chandra Mohanta, ndc, Project Director (Additional Secretary), Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) spoke on the occasion.
Professor Dr. M. Mozahar Ali, Director, Graduate Training Institute (GTI), Bangladesh Agricultural University delivered the welcome address.
The UGC member Dr. M. Shah Nawaz Ali, Vice-Chancellors of public universities, Pro-VCs, Treasurers, Senior Professors and officials of UGC and Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project were present at the programme.
