A musical night knots Eastern and Western trends

Violinist Faruque Wahid joining with guitarist and keyboardist Bikash Kanti Nath organized a musical fiesta at the auditorium of Wahid Academy of Music in Dhanmondi on February 1 where twin maestro accompanying their students illumed audiences with their musical notes.
Faruque Wahid and his pupils enchanted the crowd playing oriental Raga's including Kafi, Bhupali and Hansadhani while Bikash Kanti Nath associating his learners presented both vocal and instrumental melody. They played western classical masterpieces and fused them with eastern music-arts which include the oldest surviving musical piece 'Seikilos Epitaph'.
Two of the students of Bikash were felicitated for passing the 'music theory' exam of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) with distinction.
Swagata Mukherjee, classical music teacher of Indian High Commission was present among the distinguished guests. RMG music distributed gifts among the performers.
