Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim on Sunday asked the officials and employees of the Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakkha (RAJUK) to curb corruption from the state-owned service agency.
"The public perception about RAJUK is not good. The government is sincere about curbing corruption and irregularities to mitigate sufferings of service takers.
The officials and employees of RAJUK will have to work hard to provide services. The authority will take tougher actions if any allegation of negligence is received," he said while addressing his introductory meeting with the RAJUK officials.
Public Works Secretary Shahid Ullah Khandaker, RAJUK Chairman Abdur Rahman, Ministry's Additional Secretary Akhter Hossain, Yakub Ali Patwary and senior RAJUk officials attended the meeting held at RAJUK auditorium in Dhaka. The Minister said all officials and employees of the agency are not corrupt. But, the entire institution has to face 'image crises' for the corrupt persons.
