Two JMB men held in Barishal

BARISHAL, Jan 13: Two members of banned outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen of Bangladesh (JMB) were arrested from Barguna Zila Sadar recently.
The arrested are: Abdul Awal Siraj, 54, son of late Alhaj Abdul Mojid Musolli of Bunia area, and Ali Hossain alias Mainuddin, 45, son of late Habibullah Sikdar of Amrajhuri area.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) confirmed the matter through a press release.
As per the press release, acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB raided Battala area of Barguna Sadar and nabbed them.
In primary interrogation, they gave confessional statement that they were inspired by militant Jasim Uddin Rahmani in 2012. Later, they became active members of JMB when they came in contact with Nazmul alias Ukil, Atikur Rahman Babu, Manik Islam alias Bepari, Abdullah Al Miraj, Abul Kalam and Alamin.
