Three found dead in three districts
Three persons were found dead in three districts- Bogura, Rajshahi and Noakhali, in the last two days.
BOGURA: Body of a businessman was recovered from a field of Chatarpur area in Kahalu Upazila of the district on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Apple Mahmud, 32, son of Abdul Wahab of Fanshitola Moghaltoli area in Gobindaganj Upazila. He was managing director of Edex Business Co-operative Society. He had export-import business.
Family members said he was returning home to visit his ailing mother at TMSS Medical College Hospital around 9pm. But he did not return home.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kahalu Police Station Shawkat Kabir confirmed the matter.
The family members identified the body around 10am on Friday, the OC said.
The body was sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
RAJSHAHI: Police recovered a van driver's body from Sormongla area in Godagari Upazila of the district on Wednesday night, three days after his missing.
The deceased was identified as Jasim Uddin Joy, 20, son of Arkan Ali of Masterpara area of Rajshahi City.
Police arrested two- Jasim and Sumon in this connection, while another accused Rajib fled the scene.
Godagari PS OC Jahangir Alam said after he went missing on Jan 7, his maternal uncle Manzur Hossain Shah filed a general diary with Shah Makhdum Police Station.
According to the information provided by the arrested, the body was recovered from the said area.
NOAKHALI: A girl was found dead in a garden at Purba Shullakia Village under Dharmapur Union in Sadar Upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Pervin Akhter, 19, daughter of Jahurul Haque of the village.
The deceased's father Jahurul Haque said his daughter, who had been working at a garment factory in Chittagong, came home three months back. Since then, some spoilt boys started to tease her.
Pervin went missing on Wednesday evening, and her body was found at the garden.
Sudharam Model PS OC Anwar Hossain said several injury marks were found on the body.
The body was sent to Noakhali General Hospital for an autopsy.
