Classes at Nilphamari Medical College inaugurated
The academic program of the newly floated Nilphamari Medical College started on Thursday.
In this connection, an inauguration ceremony was held on the day at the temporary campus of the new government medical college.
Dr. Rabiul Islam Shah, principal of medical the college presided over the programme while Asaduzzaman Noor MP, former cultural minister was present as chief guest.
Among others Amal Chandra Saha, divisional health director of Rangpur division, Nazia Shirin, deputy commissioner (DC) of Nilphamari, Mohammad Ashraf Hossain, superintendent of police (SP), Dr. Ranjit Kumar Barman, civil surgeon of Nilphamari and Dewan Kamal Ahmed, mayor of Nulphamari municipality were present and spoke on the occasion.
The chief guest welcomed the students of the college at the beginning of the ceremony.
In the current academic session, 50 students get the opportunity to study at this new public medical college.
