BNP shares 19 seats with Oikyafront, 5 with LDP

BNP on Saturday allocated 19 seats to its Jatiya Oikya Front alliance partners-Gano Forum, Nagorik Oikya and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Rab)-to contest in the upcoming general elections.
Gano Forum was given seven seats while Nagorik Oikya and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Rab) got five seats each.
The nominated Gano Forum candidates are Subrata Chowdhury (Dhaka-6), Mostofa Mohsin Montu (Dhaka-7), Sultan Mansur (Moulvibazar-2), Reza Kibria (Habiganj-1), Khalequzzaman (Mymensingh-8), and AMSA Amin (Kurigram-2).
The nominated Nagorik Oikya candidates are Mahmudur Rahman Manna (Bogura-2), SM Akram (Narayanganj-5), Shah Md Rahmatullah (Rangpur-1), Mofakharul Islam Nabab (Rangpur-5) and JM Nurur Rahman (Barishal-4).
From Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Rab) nominated candidates are ASM Abdur Rab (Laxmipur-4), Abdul Malek Ratan (Cumilla-4), Dr Saiful Islam (Kishoreganj-3), Shahiduddin Mahmud Swapan (Dhaka-18) and Nurul Islam Mal (Shariatpur-1).
Krisak Shramik Janata League led by Kader Siddiki was given two seats. The seat allocations could not be immediately known.
Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) led by Col (Retd) Oli Ahmed has been give five seats, Oli Ahmed (Chattagram-14), Redwanul Ahmed (Cumilla-7), Shahadat Hossain Selim (Laxmipur-7), Nurul Alam (Chattagram-7) and Syed Mahbub Morshed (Mymensingh-10).
National People's Party (NPP) got a single seat. Dr Fariduzzaman Farhad, Chairman of the NPP, will contest from Narail-1.
BNP allocate single seat to Kallyan Party. Its Chairman Maj Gen (Retd) Syed Mohammad Ibrahim will contest in Chattagram-5.
Except LDP chief, all nominated candidates in all the constituencies will contest the election with BNP's election symbol "Sheaf of Paddy.
