Teenager killed over playing cricket

PABNA, Dec 8: A teenage boy was killed allegedly by his friend following a conflict over playing cricket in Sadar Upazila on Friday noon.
Deceased Hamim Hossain, 15, was the son of Tofazzal Hossain of Charghoshpur Village in the upazila.
Goutam Kumar Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police confirmed the matter.
He said one Anik Hossain, 20, was locked into an altercation with Hamim and other friends at 12pm when they kept him out of match. At one stage, he stabbed Hamim with a knife. He also stabbed another friend Wazed as he resisted him, leaving the duo critically injured.
They were rushed to Pabna General Hospital where Hamim was declared dead.
