30 nabbed with drugs in three districts
At least 30 people were arrested with drugs in three districts- Kishoreganj, Dinajpur and Rajshahi, in three days.
KISHOREGANJ: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-14 arrested a man with 380 yaba tablets from Chandrapur Village of Itna Upazila on Wednesday.
The arrested is Md Jamal Uddin, 35, son of Md Montaz Uddin of the village.
On a tip-off, RAB-14 members raided the village and arrested him with the yaba.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Itna Police Station (PS) Md Zakir Rabbani confirmed the incident and said a case under Narcotics Control Act was filed in this connection.
DINAJPUR: Police, in a drive from Monday night till Tuesday morning, arrested 27 drug traders and takers from the district.
At least 15 cases were filed against them in this connection.
Police also recovered 505 yaba tablets, 10 pieces of sedative injections, 10 litres of brew, 58 bottles of phensedyl, and 1.05 kilograms of hemp from them, said Dinajpur Police Control Room sources.
Later, a local court sent them to jail on Tuesday noon.
RAJSHAHI: Police detained two people with 10 bottles of phensedyl from Autghori border area in Bagha Upazila on Monday midnight.
The detainees are Nasir Uddin Sabuj, 40, son of Sahabuddin Master of Uttar Ulkhola Village under Karimganj Upazila in Kishoreganj District, and Milon Islam, 24, son of Razuddin of Alaipur Village in Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi.
Bagha PS OC Mohsin Ali said on a tip-off they raided the said area and arrested Sabuj and Milon with the phensedyl.
A case under Narcotics Control Act was filed against them with Bagha PS.
They were sent to jail through the court on Tuesday, the OC said.
