Tamim, Soumya's tons aid BCB XI's win over Windies in warm-up

Welcome century of Tamim Iqbal alongside Soumya Sarkar's ton ensured 51-run victory for the BCB XI against visiting Windies in the curtail-over match at BKSP Cricket Ground 3 on Thursday.
Winning the toss Windies elected to bat first and posted a healthy figure of 331 runs on the board losing eight wickets. Shai Hope was the top guest's scorer with 81 while Roston Chase collected 65, Fabian Allen gathered 48 and Kieran Powell smashed 43.
Rubel Hossain, Nazmul Apu and Mehedi Hasan Rana took two wickets each whereas skipper Mashrafe picked one.
In reply, Bangladesh got flying start from their openers, who stood 81 runs partnership from nine over. Although Imrul Kayes was dim with the bat. Tamim, however, shone in his comeback after three-month hibernation for injury. He hammered Caribbean bowlers on the way to his windy 107 runs' innings from 73 deliveries with 13 rope kissing shots and four over-top hits.

Bangladesh were 314 for six after 41 overs as the game need to revise for insufficient light and BCB XI were declared winner by 51 runs since D/L methods set 264 target for hosts.
Thus, all-round performance of Roston Chase went vain, who claimed two wickets with the balls after breezy fifty with the bat. Devendra Bishoo also preyed two wickets for visitors.
The Caribbean boys will receive Tigers' hospitality for three ODIs on December 9, 11 and 14. First two matches will be hosted by the home of cricket Sher-e-Bangla national cricket stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka while the last match of the series will take place at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet.
The month long Bangladesh tour of Windies also includes a three-match T20i series which will be staged on 17, 20 and 22 respectively.
