Man gets life term for killed schoolboy

A court in Satkhira on Monday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment for killing a two-grader student in 2007.

The lifer is Ashok Biswas alias Tupal, 39, of Raripara village under Patkelghata upazila.

Satkhira Additional District and Sessions Judge Arunav Chakrabarty handed down the verdict.

According to prosecution, the convict strangulated Tapas Biswas, 11, a student of Raripara Government Primary School, to death on March 17, 2007.

Later, Patkelghata Police Station sub-inspector Kazi Shahiduzzaman lodged a case with the connection.
