ACM-ICPC programming contest begins

A daylong programming contest began at the Shawadhinata Milonayoton of Daffodil International University campus at Ashulia on Saturday. As part of the selection of two teams for the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM-ICPC) for the world finals 2019 contest, DIU and ICT Division of Ministry of Post and Telecommunication and IT organised the contest.
ACM-ICP, is an annual multi-tiered competitive programming competition among the universities of the world.
A total of 297 teams from more than 100 public and private universities took part in the contest.
Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of University Grants Commission Bangladesh (UGC) inaugurated the programme at around 09:00am at the campus while national Prof Jamilur Reza Chowdhury addressed the opening session as guest of honour.    -UNB
