OWSD Int’l Confce ends

International conference and workshop on 'Challenging Research by Women in Stem' was held in the 25th anniversary of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) at Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission auditorium, Dhaka.
Physics and Mathematical Sciences Faculty Dean of Gonob Bishwabidyalay (GB) prof Dr Hasin Anupama Azhari delivered the welcome address at the conference. ProfDr M Shamsher Ali, TWAS Fellow, was present as chief guest while Swedish's Ambassador to Bangladesh Charlotta Schlyter, Asiatic Society Bangladesh president Prof Mahfuza Khatun, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission chairman Mahbubul Haque, OWSD Office coordinator, attended as special guests. Dr Tonya Blowers, the founder president of the OWSD Bangladesh, was also present here. Shahida Rafiq, OWSD Bangladesh secretary Sharmin Parvin also spoke here.
OWSD has been working for a long time in establishing the rights of women in developing countries and women's rights. Through various scholars, women are encouraged to study.
