Three found dead in three districts
Three persons were found dead in three districts- Pabna, Dinajpur and Sylhet, in two days.
PABNA: Police recovered a youth's body from a field beside Madhupur Madrasa Road in Ataikula Upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sohel Hossen, 22, son of Helal Mia of Madhupur Village in the upazila. He was an agriculture labourer and a mason.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ataikula Police Station (PS) Md Moniruzzaman Islam said Sohel went out of house on Thursday night and did not return. Local people saw the body at the said area and informed police.
Police recovered and sent the body to Pabna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police primarily suspected that miscreants might have strangled and chopped Sohel to death as injury marks were found on the body.
DINAJPUR: Police recovered a man's headless body from a paddy field in Madhyamagura Village under Shalkhuria Union of Nababganj Upazila on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Nuruzzaman, 40, a saw mill and timber merchant and resident of College Bazaar area in the upazila.
Police arrested one Rafiqul Islam in this connection.
Union Parishad Chairman Enamul Haque confirmed the news and said local people were cutting paddy in the field when they saw the body and informed police. Later, police recovered the body.
Nababganj PS OC Subrata Roy said a case was filed in this connection.
SYLHET: Police on Thursday morning recovered the throat-slit body of an unidentified woman from Golapganj Upazila.
Local people found the body abandoned in the morning near the house of one Nahid Miah in Raigor Village of the upazila and informed police, said AKM Fazlul Haque Shibli, OC of Golapganj Model PS.
Police recovered the body from the spot, he added.
