A JSC examinee, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed and three others were injured in a road crash in Deviganj of Panchgarh on Friday.

Deceased Sohel Rana was appearing in the JSC examination from Beluadanga Adarsha High School in Deviganj.

Police and local sources said Rana alongwith two other examinees--Yunus Ali and Hamidul Islam-- was going to the examination centre by a motorcycle this morning.

Suddenly a human hauler, locally known as easy bike, rammed into the motorcycle, leaving three bike riders and the easy-bike driver critically injured.

They all were first rushed to the upazila health complex, from where Rana was referred to Rangpur Medical College Hospital following deterioration of his condition. But he died on way to Rangpur.

Police said Rana himself was driving the bike.

Deviganj police OC Rabiul Hasan Sarkar said despite restriction, riding motorcycle with two pillion passengers and without helmet is a common feature here.

It is one of the main reasons behind the accident, he added.
