BNP's protest procession against Aug 21 grenade attack verdict

The BNP on Thursday brought out a procession in the city protesting the verdict in August 21 grenade attack cases that sentenced party's acting chairman Tarique Rahman among 19 life imprisonment and 19 more to death.

The procession, led by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, started from Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court crossing at about 10am and terminated in front of the CMM Court.

Leaders and activists of Dhaka city South unit and Keraniganj upazila unit BNP joined in the protest procession.

They demanded withdrawal of what they said the "politically motivated" verdict.
