Durga Puja blesses us in Autumn. So, a touch of the season is a must in the clothes. Moreover, it is a universal event, meaning there are outfits for all. Thus, every fashion house brings its best Puja collection items to brace your wardrobe.
Bishwa Rang is the first to introduce themes in Bangladesh. Even this year, there are two splendid themes. For one, the design is taken from Mother Durga's chali. A whole product line is based on it. Another theme is based on Debi, the film. Besides these, there are regular alluring works as well. Just like Bishwa Rang, other fashion houses also worked on several mind blowing themes to enrich their magnificent Puja collection.
Cotton, silk and half silk seem to have the most priority in case of fabrics. From kids to elderlies, everyone's demand is being met as always.
Furthermore, there is family collection as well. It consists of matched shirt, panjabi, fatuya, dhuti, shawl etc.
Now, the dresses for Durga Puja are of three kinds - for morning, noon, night. Also, the best thing about Puja is that it allows people to adorn themselves for 5 straight days!
"For elderly, soft color and fabric is preferred. Because those who are over 50 or 60, they seem to like brown shade, blue shade, biscuit, cream colour etc. Bright colors are not used for elderly collection. For instance, instead of going for bright red, maroon is chosen," says Biplob Saha, owner of Bishwa Rang.
On the other hand, everyone loves to wear white in autumn. Nonetheless, the classic combination of white and red is always given the most priority. It is mostly worn when people go to the temple in the morning for prayer because it has symbolic religious meaning. And gorgeous materials such as silk, bolaka, muslin, endi silk etc are worn in the night.
It doesn't end there. There are jewelries and home decor items to buy too. You will find much beautiful handmade and imported jewelry in the local fashion houses.
So, visit outlets of astonishing brands such as Bishwa Rang, Rang Bangladesh, Nipun, Kay Kraft, Anjan's etc to get the best for this Puja and celebrate wholeheartedly.
