Former MP Shah Azizur Rahman dies

Freedom Fighter and former lawmaker Shah M Azizur Rahman died of old age complications at a Sylhet hospital on Sunday morning. He was 80.

Sylhet City Awami League organising secretary Shafiul Alam said Rahman breathed his last at about 8am.

He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn the death.

Rahman had been elected MP from Sylhet-2 constituency (Balaganj-Bishwanath) in 1996-2001.
