Reform the higher education system

Published : Sunday, 16 September, 2018 at 12:00 AM Count : 255

Dear Sir

We all know education is the prerequisite for national development. An educated person is an asset to his/her family as well as nation. If we look the education system of our country, the picture we see is pathetic. In every year, a huge number of students complete their higher education -- graduation and post-graduation degree -- from public university and national university or other institutions of Bangladesh. Though they get a certificate after completing their higher study, most of them do not know the utilisation of the knowledge they have achieved.

So, I think time has come to reform our educational system, especially our higher education system since it is the last step of student life. Government should create more job facilities and ensure that every student will get a job based on their merit after completing higher education. Then concerned authority should arrange the syllabus in a way that students can have practical knowledge on particular subject having demand in job market.
