FBCCI team exchanges views with Natore businessmen
NATORE, Sept 12: A team led by Sheikh Fazley Fahim, senior vice-president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), exchanged views with local businessmen leaders at Natore Chamber of Commerce and Industries office on Tuesday.
A meeting was held in this connection among the delegates and business leaders with Alhaz Aminul Haque, president of Natore Chamber in the chair.
The aims and objectives of the programme were to study the present conditions of trade and commerce in northern districts including Natore.
Local businessmen and industry promoters raised various problems at the meeting including power, energy and gas crisis for which they cannot expand their business here.
In reply to the questions of the promoters, the chief guest said, Natore will be announced as an economic zone very soon, which is now under process. The government has a plan to expand business with essential power and energy in the region.
He further said, the government is importing huge liquefied petroleum gas through private companies for use in domestic purposes which will increase in future as per demand.
He assured the traders that whatever might be the situation, they will not be deprived of power and energy to expand their business.
Among others, Md. Anwar Sadat, director of FBCCI, Abdul Mannaf, ex-president of Natore Chamber, Alhaz Shariful Islam Ramjan, director of Natore Chamber and Md. Rezaul Karim, chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad were also present at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, it was informed that the team will visit 16 districts in northern region.
