Two bodies recovered in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, Sept 11: Police recovered the bodies of a woman and a man from Nagarghata and Jhorghachha villages of Tala upazila on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Mamtaz Begum, 55, and Gopal Gosh.
Quoting locals, assistant superintendent of police Apu Sarwar of Tala circle police, said Mamtaz's daughterTumpaKhatun had a brawl with her mother in the noon.
At one stage,Tumpahit her mother's head with an iron stick, leaving her critically injured.
The injured was taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital from where she was referred to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
She succumbed to his injuries around 7 pmat KMCH.
Meanwhile, police recovered the body of Ghopal from a water body near his house in the evening.
The body bore several injury marks on it, said the police official.
