Unidentified woman's body found

An unidentified young woman was found dead in Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Sunday noon.

Akhaura Police Station officer in-charge Md Ariful Amin confirmed the matter.

He said local people found the body of the woman, aged around 30, beside a pond in Railway East Colony area and informed police.

Police, later, went to the spot and sent the body to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital morgue.

The body was naked and bore several injury marks, said the OC, adding that miscreants might have killed the woman after rape.
