Bourses witness downward trend

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw downward trend on the third trading day of the week on Tuesday but turnover witnessed rise.

On the premier bourse, turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 716.98 crore.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 5,552 points decreasing 37 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached 1,271 points declining 3 points.

The DS30 index downed 9 point to stand at 1,950 points.

Of the issues traded today, 64 advanced, 228 declined and 42 remained unchanged.

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) stood at Tk 26.21 crore today.

Selective Category Index - CSCX - decreased 130 points stood at 17,073 points.

Of the issues traded, 62 gained, 160 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
