PM to inaugurate 7th March Bhaban at DU today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate a newly constructed building named ‘7th March Bhaban’ near Ruqayyah Hall of Dhaka University (DU) on this (Saturday) morning.

The Premier will inaugurate the building at around 10:30 am and will stay on the campus till 2:00pm, said a press release sent by Dhaka University on Friday.

While inaugurating the building, Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman, education minister Nurul Islam Nahid, University Grants Commission Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan, Pro VC (education) Prof Nasreen Ahmad, Pro VC (administration) Prof Mohammad Samad will be present there.

DU Combined Students’ Union has drawn a 1971-foot street motif (Alpona) from the Secretariat to the DU dormitory to welcome PM.

Combined Students’ Union was formed on Wednesday comprising university’s 20 social and cultural organisations and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
