Due to typical social stigma and norms, it is really hard for millions of girls in Bangladesh to talk about periods or menstruation with anybody, e.g. mothers, friends or even teachers. It is so unfortunate that even the little help they get from others can be sometimes misleading and also harmful. This becomes a cycle of misleading information that carry out through time followed by a result of severe health issues. As a matter of fact, girls end up leaving school. One of the renowned sanitary pad brands 'Senora' is hosting School Programs for girls in order to educate them about menstruation for the past 12 years. The whole point of doing it is so that the cycle can be broken at its root. This program helped kids to know about their health issues and changes that occur and they go through due to and during menstruation. Senora school program introduced kids with a care line number (08000888000) from which they are getting necessary help. It's been almost 12 years that Senora is maintaining this school program and helping girls in every possible way, helping the girls to live a normal life. Because the main motive it not only to raise the awareness but also to change the school of thoughts that period or menstruation is not a taboo.
