Bourses end week with downturn

Indices at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed downward trend on the last trading day of the week on Wednesday but turnover saw rise.

On the premier bourse, turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 722.37 crore.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 5,600 points decreasing 2 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached 1,269 points declining 47 points.

The DS30 index downed 7 points to stand at 1,960 points.

Of the issues traded today, 117 advanced, 165 declined and 51 remained unchanged.

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) stood at Tk 64.51 crore today.

Selective Category Index - CSCX - increased 7 points stood at 17,244 points.

Of the issues traded, 99 gained, 116 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
