Stocks witness downward trend

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed downward trend on the fourth trading day of the week on Wednesday.

On the premier bourse, turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 633.38 crore.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 5,610 points decreasing 8 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached 1,270 points declining 4 points.

The DS30 index downed 6 points to stand at 1,967 points.

Of the issues traded today, 111 advanced, 182 declined and 41 remained unchanged.

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) stood at Tk 31.92 crore today.

Selective Category Index - CSCX - decreased 70 points stood at 17,236 points.

Of the issues traded, 88 gained, 134 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
