New songs on National Mourning Day
A number of modern singers have recorded new songs for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his forty-third martyrdom. Some of them are as follows:
Shafiq Tuhin's new song
Shafiq Tuhin has voiced the song "Hoini Tokhon Shesh Bhorer Azan, Gaichilo Pakhi Sakaler Gaan" referring to the early-dawn of the day of August 15, 1975 that saw a heinous act being committed in the city of Dhaka. Lyrics has been jointly written by Abu Sayem Chowdhury and Shafiq Tuhin. It was released on YouTube on August 14 by Jaaz Multimedia.
A full-fledged album
A full album with original songs has been brought out by Agnibeena. Titled "Bajrakanther Nayak" the drama has songs on both Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his inspirational wife Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. Shujeo Shyam has arranged music for the album. Asma Tagar has written all the ten songs of the album. Singers of the album are Priyanka Gope, Apu Sarker, Yousuff Ahmed Khan, Abu Bakar Siddique.
Singer Shahid of the band Doorbin has released a song online with the title "Bangabandhur Sainik." Faisal Rabbikin has written the lyrics while Rezwan Shekh has composed and arranged music. The song is available on the YouTube channel of CD Choice.
A song titled "Pita" holding up Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a fatherly figure has been released marking his forty-third death anniversary. The song has been released by Rtv Music on its official YouTube channel on August 14. Sudip Kumar Deep has written the song. Shilpi Biswas has voiced it. Sumon Kalyan has ensured the music composition and arrangement.
Song from Fahmida Nabi
Indigenous musicians Sujon Hajong and Jadu Richil have jointly brought up a song on YouTube to pay tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his death anniversary. The song titled "Pitar Rokte" has been rendered by Fahmida Nabi.
