Kamal Ahmed, Afsana Runa to present Tagore-Nazrul songs at Chhayanaut

Musical Programme Titled "Raag-e-Jugalbandi" highlighting Tagore songs and Nazrul songs based on different Raag has been arranged at Chhayanaut main auditorium on upcoming August 10 at 6 PM. Renowned Tagore singer and reputed Music Personality Kamal Ahmed will perform at the programme. Besides prominent music artist Afsana Runa will perform with Kamal Ahmed. The songs of Tagore and Nazrul will be presented in alternations.
Remarkable songs to be presented at the musical programme are "Eso Go Jele Dia Jao Pradip Khani"(Tagore Song) and "Boshiya Bizone Kano Eka Mone" (Nazrul Song on Eman Raag),  "Aaji Jharer Rate" (Tagore Song) and "Borosa Oi Elo Borosa" (Nazrul Song on Mollar Raag),  "Aaji Bizan Ghore Nisith Rate" (Tagore Song) and "Nishi Nijhum Ghum Nahi Ashe" (Nazrul Song), "Bhora Thak Smritishudhay" (Tagore Song), and "Kano Dile E Kata Jodi Kosum" (Nazrul Song on Behag Raag), "Chhaya Ghanaichhe Bone Bone" (Tagore Song), "Shure O Banir Mala Diya Tumi"  (Nazrul Song) and "Amar Poran Jaha Chay" (Tagore Song).
Kamal Ahmed, Director of External Service, Bangladesh Betar is better known as a Media Personality. On 2017 Kamal Ahmed received "Adwaitia  Mallabarman  Award"  from Prof. Gautum Kumar Basu, Vice Chancellor of India's Maharaja Birbikram University; "Bir Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Award" from Manik Sarker, former Chief Minister of Tripura; "Bangabandhu Gobeshona Foundation Award" in 2015 and "SAARC Cultural Society Award" in 2010. Kamal Ahmed enhanced his career after receiving FOBANA (Federation of Bangladeshi Association in North America) award from Canada last year for his contribution on Radio Transmission at home and abroad. Kamal Ahmed has released fifteen Albums so far.   
However, singer Afsana Runa is serving at "Chhayanaut" and "Nazrul Institute" as Music teacher. She has a good track record across the country as a music teacher, as well as in Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television and stage shows.
