Transport workers in Narayanganj beat up four teenagers, including a student on Wednesday.

A group of transport workers suddenly attacked several teenagers in Siddhirganj’s Mouchak area around 11:30am.

Later, they handed the four teenagers over to police.

One of them was the student of Rayerbagh School and College.

Two of them were hawkers,” said Abdus Sattar, chief of the local police station.

Transport leaders were not immediately available for comment, but local residents said the workers blocked a road to protest “vandalism” on vehicles by students, reports bdnews24.com.

The transport workers also harassed students in school uniform, witnesses said.

Thousands of students continued their protests, mostly in Dhaka, for the fourth day after a bus ran over and killed two college students in the capital earlier this week.
