5 injured in crude bombs attack on BNP rally

At least five people including a journalist were injured when miscreants hurled crude bombs at BNP candidate’s election rally of Rajshahi City Corporation election in Sagorpara area on Tuesday morning.
Injured Paritosh Chowdhury Aditya, a reporter of private TV channel Bangla Vision, local shop owner Swapan Kumar Das and three BNP activists Habibur Rahman, Khokon and Kalu were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Witnesses said Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu, organizing secretary of BNP central committee, brought out an election rally on behalf of BNP mayoral aspirant Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul at about 10:30am.
Suddenly, several masked miscreants, riding on three motorcycles, hurled three crude bombs on the rally, leaving five people wounded.
Being information, police visited the spot, Aman Ullah, officer in-charge of Boalia Police Station, said.
The OC also said police are trying to find out the attackers.
MP Mizanur Rahman Minu, BNP chairperson's adviser and former mayor, said that terrorists of rulling party Awami League attacked on their rally.
But Rezaul Islam Babul, Rajshahi Metropolitan Awami League joint secretary, said AL wasn’t involved in the bomb attacks.
