Members of BNP's media wing on Saturday  said that they did not know anything about party chief Khaleda Zia's treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.

On Friday, after meeting with Khaleda Zia at the jail, her personal doctors claimed she might have suffered a mild stroke.

Following the claim, Law Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday told journalists at the Secretariat Sunday that Khaleda Zia would be taken to the BSMMU for medical test.

Regarding the issue, BNP chairperson’s media wings member Shayrul Kabir Khan said, “I don’t know anything about the matter. I've also heard. Let's see when will she be taken to hospital."

Another media wings member Shamsuddin Didar said, “I am not sure yet. I'am going to the jail to get the update.”

Earlier, the minister said, "The home minister has informed me that she (Khaleda) will be taken to Bangabandhu Medical University to conduct the necessary tests to check if she has suffered a stroke.”

He could not say when the BNP chief would be taken to the hospital.
