Chittagong district administration, in a drive on Tuesday morning, found the leaked Physics question of the SSC examination in the mobile phones of students an hour before the examination at WASA crossing.
Executive magistrate Syed Murad Ali got into a bus of Shyamoli Paribahan at about 9:15am when 50 examinees from Patiya Ideal School were watching the question and answer inside the vehicle near Bangladesh Mohila Samity High School centre.
The magistrate said that the students were allowed to sit in the examination and then checked their mobile phone sets.
"Similarities were found between the leaked MCQs in the mobile phones and that distributed in the exam centre," he added.
In an attempt to stem the flow of question leaks on the social media, the government has
sent a set of instructions to the DG of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, offices of all divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners and chairmen of all education boards.
A ban was imposed on the use of mobile phones within 200 metres of exam centres.
"Link of a powerful gang has been found in question leak. We've identified some of the gang members where teachers are also involved," said the executive magistrate.
