The session will be held at 3pm at Alliance Francaise Auditorium in Dhanmondi while the first session will start at 10am in the same venue. Aparna will again appear before the film buffs at 4pm on January 15 at the Seminar Room of Central Public Library, Shahbagh, Dhaka alongside another Indian director Madhurima Sinha.
Apart from Aparna thirty-four more women filmmakers from home and abroad are taking part in the conference. This year's conference has been dedicated to Sumita Devi and Rawshan Jamil, pioneers for women in the Bangladeshi film industry. The conference runs every year in parallel with the Dhaka International Film Festival.
The Women Filmmakers' Conference focuses on the issues that impede a woman filmmaker's journey towards a successful career and elaborates on the solutions to such problems as have been explored by international women filmmakers from around the world in their personal careers.
