Bangladesh ranks 120th in Mobile, 85th in Broadband Internet speed

Bangladesh stood in the 120th position regarding mobile internet speed in the world with 4.97 megabytes per second, while Norway has the fastest mobile internet speed of 62.26 megabytes, according to a data of July this year published in November.  

The nation remained in the same position four months later in November, though the download speed has reduced to 4.77 MB per second from the earlier 5.77MB per second.



In the segment of broadband speed, Bangladesh's position has jumped from 144th to 85th. The average rate is now 16.14 mbps, while in the month of July, the average download speeds of the broadband internet was just 1.7 megabytes.

The internet speeds were tested by the organization 'Oklah' in their last data test result. These data were last updated in November. SpeedTest.com has showcased mobile internet speeds of 122 countries.

Netherlands and Iceland also have the second and third place in mobile internet speed. In broadband, Iceland and Hong Kong are ranked second and third respectively in the internet speed list.
