Learning sharing confce held in Meherpur
MEHERPUR, Dec 7: A daylong learning sharing conference on "Community initiatives to increase skill in study of mathematics" organised by Save the Children, Meherpur Project Office, was held on the premises of Saint Burn Bar Church in the town on Wednesday.
Project Director of Programme for Children, Save the Children, Hosenara Khandaker chaired the conference.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Farid Ahmed formally inaugurated the programme as chief guest by releasing pigeons.
Among others, District Primary Education Officer Zeser Ali, Superintendent of Primary Teachers' Training Centre Mahfuza Khatun, General Secretary of Meherpur Press Club Rafiqul Alam, Project Director of Palashipara Samaj Kallayan Samity Sunil Kumar Roy, and Senior Manager (Education) of Save the Children Moazzem Hossain were present as special guests.
Deputy Manager (Child Education) of Save the Children Khalilur Rahman and Senior Manager Farooque Hossain delivered the welcome address.
The chief guest in his speeches said the country will go ahead if there is patriotism. He further said some organisations have been working for ensuring quality education here.
More than hundred volunteers from 81 primary schools, Save the Children and its partner organisation Palashipara Samaj Kallayan Samity took part in the conference and shared their experiences.
