Lakshmipur ex-civil surgeon acquitted
LAKSHMIPUR, Dec 6: The retired public servant, who was jailed by a mobile court for misconduct with a Lakshmipur administration official, has been acquitted of the charges.
Charges against former acting civil surgeon Salah Uddin Sharif were dropped on Wednesday. An additional magistrate's court ruled in his favour after he challenged the mobile court's decision.
"The charges pressed against me have been proven false," he told the media outside the court.
Lakshmipur's Additional Deputy Commissioner or ADC Shaikh Murshidul Islam got into an argument on Monday with Sharif over entering the premises of a school, supervised by the district administration. The argument led to a scuffle between the two.
