Expat JCD leader ordered Banani businessman murder: Police

One of six suspect held

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit claimed that the killing of Banani manpower businessman was carried out by local "contract killers" on orders from an expatriate JCD leader.
The CTTC and the detectives have arrested one of the murder suspects from Gulshan in the city. The arrestee is M Helaluddin, 38, a mid-level Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader.
Law enforcers arrested Helal from Kalachandpur area in Gulshan on Tuesday along with five pistols and nine bullets, said CTTC Chief Monirul Islam at a press briefing at DMP media centre.
Monirul Islam revealed the leads in a briefing after arrest of Helal Uddin, 38.
During the primary interrogation, Helal said he in association with five others shot Siddique Hossain Munsi alias Siddique Hossain, owner of a recruiting agency, to death as per the directive of a Bangladeshi expatriate in Europe.
